Eighteen months ago, The Department of Making + Doing opened its doors to Philadelphia as a place for novices and experts alike to get inspired and do great things. The results have exceeded even our brightest expectations.

Every day we see fantastic stuff created by amazing people of all ages and backgrounds. Now it’s time to celebrate those makers + doers—and to share their work with you. #MadeAtDMD is our first exhibition to showcase the incredible things that have been conceived, designed and fabricated right here at DM+D. It will spotlight the creativity and diversity of our maker community: designers, hackers and builders; artists, technologists and engineers.

Join us on Thursday, December 18th, for a festive, hands-on opening celebration that’s as unique as Philadelphia. See our mobile Maker Cart in action, play with interactive video installations, make drawings on an 8-foot spirograph, or peruse the collection of beautiful and functional products local teens have designed + built.

Refreshments will be served.
