Learn to program by writing data visualization software in Javascript. This class will introduce programming concepts and invite you to get your hands dirty visualizing your data with Data Driven Documents (d3), an open source toolkit developed for New York Times online graphics. Sample code and data will be provided. No knowledge of programming or Javascript is required.Bring your own computer or use one of ours. It's up to you. Ages 14+
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Mitchell is a tinkerer and theorist who uses d3 visualizations in his academic work. He likes physics, welding, hiking, and marine ecology.

PARKING
Free parking is available on the day of the event in the Science Center parking lot located in the back of 3711 off of Filbert St. Drive in, take a ticket and park. When you get to DM+D ask us about chaser tickets that can be used to exit free of charge. Plenty of street parking too.
